Simple Summer Makeup look

Hi there,

It has been a long time since I published my previous post but I’ve been feeling all over the place lately and not in the mood for any blog activities. But here I am now so let’s get to some summer makeup amateur tutorial 🙂 .

With the wormer months still ahead of us I love using BB cream as opposed to a full coverage foundation because it feels a lot lighter on a skin. So first of all I applied a Miss Sporty Morning Baby! BB cream in a shade “Nude Radiance” all over my face (since I used a BB cream I didn’t need any primer, which is one of my favourite things about BB creams).

In the next step I put the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer in a shade “010 Ivory” on my blemishes and underneath my eyes and then I blended it in with my spongy beauty blender.

Moving on to my brows I filled them in with the Benefit Ka-Brow! n. 2. I tried to make them  even but looking back at the pictures you can see below, I kind of failed (I’m still getting used to it 🙂 , sorry for that).

For that bronze summer look I used this matt bronzing powder by Essence in a “lighter skin” shade which I love by the way. It’s a cheap product (around €3 I guess) and it does its job very well. After that I applied just a little bit of Maybelline Master contour contouring stick and blended it out.

For a blusher I used the Rouge powder by UMA cosmetics in this orange-looking “Chic Coral” shade and I brushed it sparingly up along the cheekbone. After that, I used the Jouer creamy highlighter in a “Champagne” shade for that desired glow.

For my eye shadows, I used the Too Faced Sweet peach palette. I didn’t want to put too much product on my eye lids so I just very simply and lightly applied two shades – “Candied peach” (orange with a hint of pink and a smattering of pink micro-glitter) and “Nectar” (golden yellow with warm undertones and a frosted sheen). Right after that I applied a few coats of the Maybelline Lash sensational waterproof mascara (it’s way harder to get rid of it later compared to the classic one but you know .. it’s summer time after all 🙂 .

I wasn’t sure which lip product to use so I eventually decided for Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in a “Sorbet” shade. I have to admit that I’m not exactly a fan of these since they’re drying out my lips a lot ..  so I mixed just a little bit of this lipstick with a lip balm by Lush just to stain the lips.

Aaaand this is the result. What do you think?

Well I hope you’re enjoying the summer break for those of you who actually have one 🙂 and for the rest of you just enjoy beautiful warm days and be happy ♥ .

Petra.
